2. Attic Thoughts is Bo Hansson's third album and I feel this is by far his best one. Originally released in Sweden on the Silence label in under the title Mellanväsen, this album was then released in the US on Sire and in the UK on Charisma as Attic Thoughts (and now available on CD), making Bo Hansson one of the rare Swedish prog artists whose albums are quite easy to come by/5(12).

7. "Attic Thoughts" was Bo Hansson's tricky third solo album, coming as it did in the wake of the magnificent "Lord Of The Rings" and the moody grandeur of "Magician's Hat". Like the latter, it was almost universally ignored when it first appeared some 30 years ago; a crying shame, as Hansson was pioneering ambient sounds before Brian Eno was a twinkle in Bryan Ferry's eye/5(11).

8. HANSSON later pursued with the more jazzy album "Magician's Hat" in '73 and, then with a second winner in '75 entitled "Attic Thoughts", which features a much better sound than the "Lord" album. This time, violin and acoustic guitars are added to the mix while organs and synths swell in impressive solos.

9. By the time Hansson released Attic Thoughts, the success that accompanied MIB Lord of the Rings had all but disappeared, this album slipped out, almost unnoticed, in late (not until January in the UK). It is a rewarding album/5(12).
